Description
I'll think of thee when morn's first flush,
I'll think of thee when clouds depart,
Shall stream its glittering rays on high,
Of thee, when twilight's crimson flushShall spread and kiss the eastern sky,—
I'll think of thee in gloomiest hours,And in the spring time's brightest glow,
Of thee, when Autumn's dying flowersSo mournfully around me strew.
I'll think of thee when clouds depart,
And cares and troubles all shall flee;
Yes, thine, forever thine! my heartShall ever cherish thoughts of thee!
And when in pleasure's giddy roundsFrom cares and toils of mind you're free,
Or if you drain life's bitter grounds,My earnest prayer is—"Think of me."
