Impromptu. On the Departure of -------.
Dublin Core
Title
Impromptu. On the Departure of -------.
Description
Propitious be the gales that waft thee,
To southern clime, to peaceful home,
Thy smile, perhaps, may never greet me,Or friendship tempt thee, here again to roam.
That ever beam'd with fond delight,
That kindly look when I was nigh,Seams now to meet me gay and bright.
Though boundless oceans do us sever,
I turn to gaze on one so dear. And find thou'rt gone from us for ever.
