Title

Gratitude

Description

Thou Bounteous Giver of all good,

From Thy unfailing hand,

We take with humble, grateful hearts,

The blessings of the land.

Thou dost supply our every want,

Know'st every creature's need,

And for the good of man, dost bless

The sprinkling of the seed.

Whilst peace and plenty bless our homes,

Our hearts are free from care;

No sound of war or tumult's rage,

Brings dread dismay or fear.

For every comfort we enjoy.

For all life's pleasures past,

The gratitude of days gone by

Brings sweet reward at last.

Rich mercies crown the present days,

The future soon is here,

And o'er the grave of buried hours,

We shed a parting tear.

Then let each heart in thanks arise,

And sing a cheerful song,

Let gratitude its echo be,

And praise the strain prolong.
