Prayer for Liberty
Dublin Core
Title
Prayer for Liberty
Description
Roll on, then cheerful day,
When tyranny's proud away,
And freedom's flag unfurled,
Shall wave, throughout the world,
Trump of grand jubilee,
Each o'er land and see
And every tribe reply,
Glory to [?] on high,
Free, too, the captive mind
By darkness long confined,
Virtue with freedom blend,
And full salvation send
When tyranny's proud away,
Stern as the grave,
Shall to the ground he hurled,And freedom's flag unfurled,
Shall wave, throughout the world,
O'er every slave.
Trump of grand jubilee,
Each o'er land and see
Freedom for all!
Let the glad tidings fly,And every tribe reply,
Glory to [?] on high,
At slavery's fall.
Free, too, the captive mind
By darkness long confined,
In slavery's night;
The Savior's name extend,Virtue with freedom blend,
And full salvation send
With freedom's light.
