Fear Not, Love

Dublin Core

Title

Fear Not, Love

Description

Fear not, love, though all forsake thee,

Though a scornful world may frown,

I will never cease to love thee,

I will ne'er thy name disown.

In thy happier days, remember,

All my heart was pldged to thee;

Now, when fate conspires to crush thee,

I will not unfaithful be.

Faithless friends that round thee hover'd,

When thy path with flowers was strown,

Now, when winter's blast approaches,

All like summer birds are flown;

But fear not, though all forsake thee,

I will ne'er unfaithful be;

I will never cease to love thee—

E'en till death I'll cling to thee.
